little Sultemeier log cabin offers cozy, rustic
warmth. Built in approximately 1880 the log cabin was moved just a short
distance to this site in 1994. Your hosts enjoy a wonderful home on a 240-acre
ranch, and have added the Sultemeier Log Cabin to share this enchantment of
ranch life and the wonderful views while hiking the ranch.
A picket fence, which stands 30 inches, frames the
picturesque cabin. Rockers on the front porch are great for watching the
activities of a working ranch. Inside this little one room cabin a rustic charm
awaits you. The queen-size bed was built to reflect the time period of the
cabin. A corner coffeebar offers an old tin countertop and sink to mirror days
gone by. An antique enamel table for two is conveniently placed. Built in one
corner of cabin is the very small bath equipped with a shower.
Relax and enjoy the surroundings including a six-acre fishing
lake just below the host’s home and next to another guesthouse on the property –
Alfred Haus. The ranch is a working ranch and you will probably see people,
dogs, cattle, goats, or llamas roaming about the ranch. There is hunting on the
ranch during hunting season….please keep this in mind when exploring the ranch.
