Located in the middle of the Comfort Historical District this charming guest cottage
is located behind the hosts home. Your hosts’ home was built in 1897 and
is known as The Walter Brinkman House. The cottage was built around 1905 and was
originally the home’s smokehouse and laundry room. Cozy Cottage was totally
renovated to include a 14 foot cypress ceiling in the bedroom—sitting room.
Jasmine, vine-covered latticework frames the antique longleaf pine door. There
is a 1924 Old Town Canoe turned upside down inside the ceiling of the front
porch. The porch has comfortable chairs for enjoying the beautiful natural landscaped
yard. Inside was totally renovated to include a 14 foot cypress ceiling in the
bedroom —sitting room and is appointed with antique saddles and other
western décor. The queen four poster bed has been handcrafted by your
hosts. There is an armoire that serves as a closet. Cable TV/VCR and a CD player
are available for guest’s use. Decorated with western décor and
antiques this one room cottage is charming and cozy.
Behind the bedroom is a coffeebar with toaster, coffeemaker, microwave and
a small refrigerator. There is also a dressing table. The bath has a leaded
glass shower and a sink that dates back to 1915.
A screened porch is the perfect place to relax, read or just quietly visit.
There are two rockers and a swing - all are Amish style.
