Baron’s Creek Cottage was originally built circa 1933 by Lizzie Simon, a local widow. Over the years many families have owned this wonderful little cottage and then in 1994 the present owners bought Baron’s Creek Cottage and have been using it as a bed and breakfast since that date.
Ufer means “creek bank” in German and the street is a series of short blocks cut by the creek at every turn. The property does front Baron’s Creek and offers a large wooden deck in the back, as well as a double hammock nestled in the trees outside. The large back yard has slopes full of grass and trees, as well as the spring-fed Baron’s Creek that runs year round. It is a quiet, peaceful location and yet close to shopping and restaurants.
Inside the cottage, which is filled with an array of antique furniture, there is a living room with cable television (small television) located in an antique entertainment center. A queen sleeper is available in the sofa The bedroom has a queen white iron bed. The bath features a claw foot tub with shower. A coffee bar is provided for guests and offers a microwave oven, refrigerator and coffeemaker.
